Summer in New York City means: fun summer dresses, SoHo shopping, post-date nights walking the High Line, interns filling up the bars and….new items added to the menus at some impressive foodie restaurants in the city.
One of these spots is Bagatelle. Bagatelle, located in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan, offers french-mediterranean style cuisine. This hot spot is perfect for a good time in large groups for brunch, dinner or special events. The first time I learned of Bagatelle was through friends posting on Instagram their elaborate experiences….and I knew I had to go to Bagatelle.
Myself and two friends, Kristen and Molly, had the opportunity to go have dinner and try out Bagatelle's new menu. I can FULLY (no pun intended) say that we enjoyed the taste and presentation of ALL the food!
My absolute FAVORITE (and I am now currently craving a slice as I type this) is their Pizza à la Truffe Noire. We shared the pizza…but it was so good I could of finished it by myself as my own meal.
Pizza à la Truffe Noire (crème fraîche, black truffle oil, smoked mozzarella cheese)
Here are my other top favorites that I can’t wait to order again:
Tartare de Thon Bagatelle (ahi tuna tartare, avocado salad, lime soy vinaigrette, taro chips)
Gnocchi Truffés à la Parisienne de Nicolas (homemade Parisian gnocchi, black truffle sauce, aged Parmesan cheese)
Tartare de Boeuf (raw beef tartar, traditional condiments, crispy rice, chervil)
Saumon d'Ecosse (scottish salmon, charred market greens, warm tomato vinaigrette)
Best part of the meal....dessert :)
Ice cream sundae with chocolate chip cookies, brownies and whip cream....and sparklers (till the fire goes out)
So if you're wondering WTF is Bagatelle and want to try it out for yourself, I HIGHLY recommend. Worth going over to check out their new menu and experience Bagatelle!
